Electric Department
One
of the many services Williamstown offers is electric.
Due
to necessity, the City of Williamstown many years ago decided to
supply its citizens with electric power, since electric suppliers would
not invest in running power lines through our small rural community.
Today
Williamstown's electric rates are very competitive with surrounding
suppliers.
See Ordinance 2010-06 for current electric rates.
Included with the kWh rate, customers may see an additional charge or rebate called a Power Adjustment.
All utilities in the region include a Power Adjustment; it's main purpose is to keep costs to the consumer down. For more information, see "The Fuel Adjustment Clause: Frequently Asked Questions" by the KY Public Utilities Commission.
