Williamstown is usually easy to reach off of I-75 but the US 25 Bridge on the Southside of town is out; so avoid using the Williamstown exit 154.  Luckily... Williamstown has a second exit, Barnes Road exit 156. 

From Lexington
Please Note – If using Mapquest or a GPS, any directions that have you taking exit 154 – the bridge over the railroad on US-25 is still closed, and you will be detoured back out to the interstate.

  1. Take I-75 North to exit #156 (Barnes Road).  Turn RIGHT at end of off-ramp.

  2. Go .8 of a mile on Barnes Road to first stop sign.  Turn RIGHT onto Helton Road (KY-3025).

  3. Take Helton Road for a little over 1 mile, until it ends at the intersection of US-25.  (Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home will be immediately in front of you, across the street.)  Turn RIGHT onto US-25.

  4. Take US-25 for a little more than .3 of a mile to first traffic light at the intersection of KY-22 (Paris Street).  (Grant County Courthouse will be on your right.)  Turn LEFT onto KY-22.

  5. Take KY-22 for 1.6 miles to KY-489 (Fairview Road).  Turn LEFT onto KY-489.

  6. Take KY-489 (Fairview Road) 1.6 miles to Boat Dock Road.

  7. If bringing your own kayak/canoe…Turn LEFT onto Boat Dock Road.  Put-in will be at end of road at Williamstown Marina Ramp.

    If renting a kayak/canoe…continue straight another .3 of a mile on KY-489 to Summer Drive.  Turn LEFT onto Summer Drive.  Rentals will be at bottom of hill at public ramp.


From Cincinnati
  1. Take I-75 South to exit #156 (Barnes Road).  Turn LEFT at end of off-ramp.

  2. Go 1 mile on Barnes Road to first stop sign.  Turn RIGHT onto Helton Road (KY-3025)

  5. Take KY-22 for 1.6 miles to KY-489 (Fairview Road).  Turn LEFT onto KY-489.

  6. Take KY-489 (Fairview Road) 1.6 miles to Boat Dock Road.

  7. If bringing your own kayak/canoe… Turn LEFT onto Boat Dock Road.  Put-in will be at end of road at Williamstown Marina Ramp. proceed with caution - Boat Ramp is at the end of Boat Dock Road.

    If renting a kayak/canoe… continue straight another .3 of a mile on KY-489 to Summer Drive.  Turn LEFT onto Summer Drive.  Rentals will be at bottom of hill at public ramp.
