Paddle Williamstown
August 25, 2012
In
2011, over 150 people of all ages took advantage of a gorgeous August,
Saturday morning and participated in our first ever Paddle Williamstown
event. Over 120 kayaks,
canoes, stand-up-paddleboards, pedal boats, and yes, even a row boat or
two, took to the waters of Williamstown Lake, and, in the process,
helped raise $1,000 for the St. Elizabeth-Grant County Cancer Care
Program.
And we’re proud to announce that our 2nd
annual event promises to be even bigger and better!
Once again, you’ll be able to paddle Northern Kentucky’s
largest lake safely! During
the hours of Paddle Williamstown (7am-1pm), powerboat/jet ski traffic on
Williamstown Lake will be restricted.
Which
Don’t have a Canoe or Kayak of your own?
A limited number of kayaks and canoes will be available to rent.
(Pre-registration before August 13th, is required for
rental.)

Your registration fee allows you to paddle the lake at
your
leisure, and automatically includes you in the Mayor’s Paddle, which
gives you brunch on the water!
If you’ve got a competitive spirit, and
want to add some excitement to the day, sign up for our 4-Mile
“Marina-to-Harbor” race, our 200-meter sprint race, or our second annual
Poker Paddle! They’re
scheduled with plenty of time in between, so choose

one…choose two…or
even all three! And if
you’ve got
kids, we’ve got just the thing for them.
New in 2012
will be our first ever Paddle Williamstown Scavenger
Hunt! And everyone is
welcome to participate in our Photo Contest, which is also new this
year!
No shuttle fees! No parking fees! No launch fees! Ever notice how even on some of those so-called “free” paddles, you may end up getting nickel-and-dimed from these hidden costs? With your Paddle Williamstown registration, there will be no unseen fees! It’s free parking and launching!
